Reliability Technician

Employee focused.** **JOB SUMMARY** **Job Profile Summary** The Reliability Technician is responsible for gathering data on operating machinery, rotating and reciprocating equipment, using a variety of instrumentation, analyzers, and visual observations to permit the analysis of machinery condition and transfer of the data to the master database. **Essential Functions and Responsibilities** + Operate multiple diagnostic programs related but not limited to vibration analysis, compressor/engine analysis, ultrasonic analysis, infrared scanning and thermography + Perform diagnostics on rotating and/or reciprocating equipment to identify underperforming equipment, assess machinery health and reduce serious mechanical failures + Assist in interpreting reports from predictive maintenance activities, including but not limited to, vibration, motion amplified video, ultrasonic, oil analysis, infrared, inspection, equipment performance and work orders + Utilize the corporate asset management tool, Maximo, to accurately complete work orders + Maintain and calibrate analysis equipment per manufacturers’ recommendations. Follow the company retention policy for all required documentation + Assist maintenance personnel in maintaining proper equipment performance. Assist with alignments, troubleshooting, service and repair as required + Attend on and off-site training courses and pass all qualifying tests + May work overtime and must maintain availability for call outs and extended travel when necessary **Education** + H.S. Diploma or GED and experience required in the following areas: **Work Experience** + preferred experience: + Rotating equipment installation and alignment + Mechanical and/or Electrical maintenance experience + Experience with CSI 2140 vibration analyzer and AMS MHM software **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities** + Knowledge of: safe and compliant operation of internal combustion engines, reciprocating/screw compressors, gas turbines, pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc + Skills in: analytical and demonstrated strength in their utilization + Skills in: mechanical trouble shooting and demonstrated strength in their utilization + Skills in: computer/software & hardware applications (not limited to Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook) + Ability to: apply mathematical skills + Ability to: communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions + Ability to: assume responsibility, perform duties and handle multiple tasks under potentially stressful conditions + Ability to: work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of urgency + Ability to: embrace excellence around safety and environmental stewardship + Ability to: work in confined areas + Ability to: react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others + Ability to: operate tools and equipment required + Ability to: perform precise tuning/timing work and utilization of fine motor skills for making minute adjustments **Licenses and Certifications** + ISO Level II Vibration Analyst Certification or + ISO Level I Vibration Analyst Certification within 1 Year required + ISO Level II Vibration Analyst Certification within 2 Yrs required + Certification in one or more of the following disciplines: Thermography (ASNT), Airborne ultrasonic (ASNT) (for predictive analysis) or lubrication analysis (ICML/STLE) within 1-1/2 Yrs required **Strength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/Requirements** + Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
