VCA Knapp’s Corner Animal hospital is seeking a dedicated Relief Licensed Veterinary Technician to support our brand-new hospital in Grand Rapids, MI.

Location: 2078 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525
Compensation: $ 22 - $ 27 / hour. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.
Schedule: Flexible. Starting hours for hospital operations will be Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Saturdays TBD), with the goal of expanding our availability to the community as much as possible as we grow.

Physical examinations and patient assessment
Anesthesia monitoring
Surgical preparation and assisting
Dentistry
Radiology
Laboratory work
Venipuncture
Catheter placement
Pharmacy
Patient recovery
Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of veterinary experience in a general practice or emergency setting preferred
Must have a current veterinary technician certification in Michigan or be eligible to transfer/obtain a certification in MI.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to jump in as needed and collaborate in a team-oriented environment
Comfortable asking for help and clarification when needed and eagerness to learn
Possess high attention to detail
