We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in Hydrogeology or Environmental Engineering to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation Practice in Ann Arbor, MI. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, team-oriented individual looking for career growth and have 15-20 years of remediation-related experience. TRC-s Ann Arbor office is a vibrant, dynamic, solution-driven and fast-paced work environment that provides access to a broad spectrum of professional experiences in an office that thrives on teamwork. Our Project Managers: Demonstrate excellence and efficiency in writing, communication, data analysis, professional judgment, and knowledge of scientific principles. Manage and lead investigative field work for a variety of media and pathways, including soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, and vapor intrusion. Understand our client-s objectives and apply those objectives to developing practical, solution-driven remedial strategies. Manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects. Interface with clients and work with account leads in securing and growing new and flow business. Have a strong sense of responsibility and work ethic. Mentor junior staff. Demonstrate strong quality assurance/quality control skills to perform technical, style and consistency reviews. Manage time effectively and balance multiple fast-paced projects. Understand standards, regulations, and guidance that apply to environmental due diligence. Prioritize safety and have working knowledge of industry health and safety practices. Are conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Project. Qualifications S. or B.A. in Hydrogeology or Environmental, Civil or Chemical Engineering. M.S. or M.A. degree highly preferred. Minimum 10-15 years of environmental consulting and/or professional hydrogeologist or engineering experience with a focus in contaminant investigation and remediation. The preferred candidate will be team-focused and possess excellent communication and writing skills, with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple deadlines with a variety of clients and project teams. Solid technical and problem-solving skills. Technical proficiency in navigating the MI Part 201 and/or RCRA Corrective Action programs from site characterization and risk evaluation to no further action. Experience with in situ and ex situ methods of soil and groundwater remediation targeting a variety of constituents. In-depth experience with PFAS investigation and treatment highly preferred. Proficiency in hydrogeological principles and geochemistry as it relates to contaminant transport and remediation. Understanding of the RCRA solid waste rules and monitoring requirements is a plus. Vapor intrusion, soil gas, and indoor air investigation experience preferred. Exposure to environmental consulting work in other Midwest states. Valid driver-s license with 40-hr HAZWOPER certification and an up-to-date 8-hr annual refresher course. 10-hr Construction certification is a plus.
