Remote Formwork CAD Operator

Description: Ideally this person will sit out of Columbus/Cleveland/Cincinnati, OH, Detroit, MI, or Pittsburgh, PA offices, but will review fully remote candidates depending on experience.

Summary: 

Utilize AutoCAD to design and produce safe and detailed formwork drawings for project teams to use in assembling concrete formwork for various structures.  Prior experience in the formwork design field is required.  We are seeking someone who understands formwork capacities, pour pressures, tie loads, wood form design, etc.   This position requires proficiency in the use of AutoCAD.  Experience with 3D modeling is preferred.  Other required skills would include the ability to read construction plans, strong math skills, good time management, and critical thinking.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Creating safe and efficient formwork designs for jobsite teams to follow when erecting formworkDrawing concrete structures from information given on contract drawingsFinding inconsistencies and mistakes in contract drawingsGenerating 3D models of complex concrete structuresInteracting with jobsite supervision to solve problems and come up with the best formwork optionsWorking with Form Shop employees during assembly of formworkMake computations to figure concrete formwork pressures, shoring loads, tie loads, etc

Education and Experience:

Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office productsPrevious experience in the formwork design field3D Modeling knowledge is preferredAbility to read and comprehend construction plans

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.87 - $40.87/hr.
