Remote Instructional Designer

Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and creative Instructional Designer to develop engaging training materials for the ServiceNow® Knowledge Management (KM) application. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design and experience in creating diverse training deliverables such as quick reference guides, videos, and interactive eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 3. This role will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to ensure that all training content aligns with organizational goals and user needs. Key Responsibilities: Needs Assessment: Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to assess training needs and determine appropriate content and delivery methods for the ServiceNow® KM application. Curriculum Development: Design and develop comprehensive training curricula, ensuring alignment with best practices in instructional design and adult learning principles. Quick Reference Guides: Create clear, concise, and visually appealing quick reference guides that provide step-by-step instructions for users navigating the ServiceNow® KM application. Video Production: Script, storyboard, and produce engaging instructional videos that demonstrate key functionalities and processes within the ServiceNow® KM application. eLearning Development: Design and develop interactive eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 3, incorporating multimedia elements and assessments to enhance learner engagement. Content Review: Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of all training materials, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with organizational standards. Evaluation and Feedback: Implement evaluation methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs and materials, utilizing feedback to continuously improve content and delivery. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of training materials, processes, and outcomes, and provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and results. Skills and Requirements 3+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a technology-focused environment. Proficiency in Articulate Storyline 3 and other eLearning development tools. Experience with Salesforce platform, preferably Service Cloud - ServiceMax is a field service management platform built on the Salesforce Platform, will be using ServiceMax to create/manage the software trainings Experience with Camtasia for video production and editing Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and best practices in training development. Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
