Job Description An educational institution is seeking a IT Business Analyst to join the OIT team. This person will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and documenting all business and functional requirements for development of a new Data Lake infrastructure in AWS Cloud environment. Analyze provide all relevant documentation relating to the needed infrastructure for establishing the Data Lake. This individual will support the most recent advancements in Business Analytics to ensure the system meets involving business needs. Profiling new and existing data sources to help define and refine the data warehouse model. This analyst will work with the QA resources on the project to assist in test planning to ensure quality and consistency within the data lake and data warehouse. Gather all data governance requirements to ensure implementation of data governance practices are within the data lake infrastructure. Skills and Requirements 1-3 years of experience as a BA in an IT environment Experience with Data Analysis, Data Lake Architecture fundamentals, as well as data warehouse knowledge Familiarity with Cloud environment specifically AWS Experience using SQL Experience working with clients/project stakeholders to analyze data information needs Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, CONCAT and pivot tables) Strong analytical ability to understand user requirements and translate them into technical terms, develop quantitative status reports, and identify and quantify issues and risks Experience with Agile project life cycle Worked in a higher education domain null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
