Remote Lead Application Support Engineer

Job Description
A large financial organization is seeking a Remote Lead Application Support Engineer for a contract opportunity through the end of the year (with a likelihood for extensions). This individual will be brought on to alleviate the development team to provide L3 application support for two high profile applications - one java-based and one ruby-on-rails based. Additionally, this individual will be supporting:
Integrations
Building out performance, monitoring, and logging for the applications
Ensuring data flow modifying data that flows into Dynatrace/Splunk so that it can be used
Other responsibilities include:
leading optimization and automation efforts
mentoring other support folks
Performing RCAs (root cause analysis) and writing them
managing SLAs, SLIs, and/or SLOs for customers
Contributing to process optimization
Incident response
Debugging complicated applications

Skills and Requirements
-5-8+ years of experience including building out performance and monitoring tools and providing L2/3 application support
-Performing RCAs (root cause analysis) knowing how to write and understand them
-experience managing SLAs, SLIs, and/or SLOs for customers
-Splunk (setting traces, metrics, alerts and logs; creating customizations, configurations, and dashboards;)
-Rest APIs
-Cloud experience (AWS +)
-Familiarity with building out automation
-Experience supporting Java and/or Ruby on Rails-based applications (+ coming from development background) Banking industry experience
Dynatrace or other monitoring tools
Docker
Familiarly with APM solutions(Application performance management (APM) solutions) null
