Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal .NET Engineer to lead our backend EAPI team. This unique role requires deep expertise in our existing .NET infrastructure while strategically transitioning to a modern cloud-based solution in AWS. The ideal candidate will not only possess robust technical skills but also have a vision for innovation and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Transition: Oversee the migration from the current on-prem .NET architecture to a cloud-based solution in AWS. Evaluate the feasibility of the transition and define the roadmap for replacement or integration with new technologies.
Technology Ownership: Take full ownership of the existing technology stack, ensuring its optimal performance while managing a supporting team of three engineers.
Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of new systems in AWS, or manage the phased handoff of components to various domain-based teams.
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to ensure seamless transition and understanding of legacy systems among team members and stakeholders.
Documentation: Maintain updated documentation of existing systems, migration plans, and architectural decisions.
Pay rate range: $75-80/hour

Skills and Requirements
Experience: Minimum 8+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend systems using .NET (C#).
Expertise with Current Tech: In-depth knowledge of existing .NET technologies and architectures.
Cloud Migration Experience: Proven experience leading or contributing to cloud migration projects, specifically in AWS.
Elastic Search: Familiarity with Elastic Search is a bonus, as we aim to enhance our search capabilities.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, driving best practices in software development.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. - Relevant certifications null
