Remote MBE Customer Development Group Lead
A REMOTE MBE Customer Development Group Lead job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need 5+ years of Model Based Engineering (MBE) / Model Based Definition (MBD) implementation experience and 5+ years of customer-facing business development experience. You will directly support the Director of MBE in a hybrid role which blends capability development and customer delivery responsibilities. You will be joining our experts on the Digital Solutions Lead Team, delivering capabilities to meet our customers' growing needs in digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:
· Work can be performed remotely or from our Cincinnati, Ohio headquarters
· Travel to customer sites, conferences, and internal meetings will be required (up to 25%)
· Business Development Support - participate in business development processes by coordinating customer engagement strategies with account owners, acting as a subject matter expert during early customer engagements, producing sales collateral, and creating proposals
· Shape Digital Reputation - be an active participant in the broader digital engineering ecosystem by maintaining fresh knowledge of solution maturation and evolution, documenting external best practices and benchmarking, and engaging with technology providers, industry working groups, and standards development organizations.
· Design System Capability - establish repeatable approaches to accelerate adoption and benefits realization of MBE by maintaining a MBE service menu, prioritizing the development of service approaches and intellectual property (IP), creating standards work for service approaches and IP asset usage.
· Workforce Development - ensure our workforce is ready to support the customer need by developing executing a model-based development Program that includes skill assessment, structured curriculum, training delivery, proficiency progression and tracking
· Leadership of Team - engages with recruiting and hiring, ensures the appropriate leadership and execution team are in place

Required Qualifications:
· US Citizenship
· Bachelors Degree in a mechanical design or engineering discipline.
· Ability to remotely collaborate with a team of experts based in various locations throughout the US
· MBE/MBD
o 5+ years of leading MBE or similar digital transformation initiative
o 5+ years of MBD application experience in either Siemens NX, CATIA or PTC CREO
o Experience/knowledge of industry standards developed for, or supportive of MBD (ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.41, AMSE Y14.47, ISO 23952 QIF, ISO STEP 10303, MIL-STD-31000)
o Advanced knowledge of GD&T and its application with respect to MBD
o Experience/knowledge of MBD software landscape (CADIQ, Capvidia, Anark, BCTI, Elysium)
o Experience/knowledge of MBD interoperable formats (3DPDF, HTLM5, STEP, QIF, JT)
· Customer Engagement
o Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
o Interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain strong customer relationships
o Empathy in understanding and addressing customer needs and pain points
o Clear articulation of ideas, whether in presentations, meetings, or written reports
o Active listening while engaging customers to fully understand their perspectives
o Negotiation skills to navigate terms and agreements with customers to achieve win-win outcomes
o Problem-solving analytical skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
o Flexibility to adjust strategies based on customer feedback or market changes
o Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and development initiatives simultaneously
o Working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and other teams


Desired Qualifications:
· ASME Y14.5 GD&T Certification
· Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
· Experience with Lean & Agile practices
· Organizational Change Management, specifically managing adoption and resistance to new ways or working

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $130,000 to $190,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
