Job Title: Mechanical Cost Estimator
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Cost Estimator with over 10 years of cost management and estimating experience on medium to large-scale construction projects, with a strong focus on MEP trades. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of the Mechanical trade, and a working knowledge of the Electrical trade is preferred but not required. A bachelor's degree or higher in a construction-related discipline or equivalent field experience is necessary. This role requires excellent communication and organization skills, the ability to plan effectively, manage time, and solve problems, as well as the capacity to work independently and within a team setting.

ResponsibilitiesManage cost estimation for medium to large-scale construction projects.Develop detailed cost estimates for MEP trades.Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.Prepare and write business documents, including reports, detailed letters, and emails.Work with minimal supervision to deliver high-quality work.Use intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills for project management.Utilize government estimating software/programs such as MII, SUCCESS, CostWorks, and PACES.Ensure attention to detail and take pride in the quality of work delivered.Essential Skills10+ years of cost management/estimating experience on medium to large-scale construction projects.Deep knowledge of the Mechanical trade.Bachelor's or higher degree in a construction-related discipline or equivalent field experience.Excellent communication and organization skills.Ability to plan effectively, manage time, and solve problems.Capacity to work independently and within a team setting.Experience in writing business documents.Additional Skills & QualificationsWorking knowledge of the Electrical trade is preferred.Consulting or owner's representative experience.Experience with Microsoft Office suite at an intermediate to advanced level.Experience with estimating software such as BlueBeam, OST, Second Generation MCASES (MII), PACES, and CostWorks is beneficial.Ability to obtain a security clearance if not already cleared.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00
