ResponsibilitiesConduct professional, courteous, articulate interviews and follow-up calls with proposed insureds to obtain all pertinent personal and medical information.Review documents, notes, and correspondence for additional or anecdotal information.Accurately enter data related to applications into the Application Interview System (AIS) and Assistant Underwriting System (AURA) to document case activity and other relevant information.Provide accurate, prompt, and professional service to all inquiries received by phone or in writing while maintaining departmental standards and time service standards.Correspond effectively within the department, underwriting staff, vendors, and other departments to assist in resolving problems, expediting business, and escalating for further handling.Effectively communicate AppAssist policies, procedures, and guidelines to internal and external customers.Additional Skills & Qualifications3+ years of medical or healthcare customer service experience (call center preferred)Solid medical vocabulary and comfort with medical terminologyStrong administrative and organizational skillsComputer savvy, with the ability to work remotely at timesWork Environment
This position requires working Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM. Applicants must have the ability to plug their computer into a router (not wireless) and have a private office space.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
