REMOTE Model-Based Enterprise Principal Engineer (GE)
A Remote Model-Based Enterprise Principal Engineer job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time direct position with benefits. To be considered, you will need 10+ years of product definition experience including 3+ years of Model Based Definition (MBD) application experience. As an MBD Principal Engineer you will support customer initiatives with subject matter expertise on MBD practices that maximize data reusability in consumption workflows. You will be joining our experts on the Digital Solutions Lead Team, delivering capabilities to meet our customers" growing needs in digital transformation.
 
Key Responsibilities:
· Work will be performed remotely. Some travel to customer sites or internal meetings may be required (up to 25%).
· Baseline and document customer current-state engineering, manufacturing, and quality processes, tools and training
· Lead the customer through target-state identification and maturation
· Develop, test, and document MBD authoring best practices for CAD/PLM systems to align with industry standards, maximize downstream digital interoperability and automated consumption, and comply with the end-user"s contractual requirements. 
· Work with software vendors in the evaluation, development, debugging, and evolution of software tools to support customer MBD goals.
· Design and participate in pilots that explore definition approaches, manufacturing and inspection data re-use, machine and software interoperability.
· Plan, develop and provide guided training and mentorship for role specific responsibilities.
· Develop and deliver internal and customer-facing presentations and documentation using MS Office and other methods for clear communication
· Be an active participant in the broader Digital/Industry 4.0 ecosystem, maintaining fresh knowledge of solution maturation and evolution, document external best practices and benchmarking, engage with technology providers, industry working groups (e.g. DMSC, ASME, PDES), and standards development organizations.
 
Required Qualifications:
· US Citizenship
· Bachelors Degree in a mechanical design or engineering discipline.
· 10+ years of product definition experience including 3+ years MBD application experience
· Experience / knowledge of industry standards developed for, or supportive of MBD (ASME Y14.5-2018, ASME Y14.41, AMSE Y14.47, QIF, MIL-STD-31000)
· Advanced knowledge of GD&T and its application with respect to MBD
· Experience/knowledge of MBD application in CAD (NX, CATIA, Solidworks and/or CREO as determined by customer)
· Experience/knowledge of MBD software landscape (CADIQ, Capvidia, Anark, BCTI, Elysium)
· Experience/knowledge of MBD interoperable formats such as 3DPDF, HTLM5, STEP, QIF, JT, etc.
· Possess a growth mindset with personal desire to learn and create solutions
· Strong communication skills including framing value and relating new concepts to others
· Ability to learn new technologies and identify applications to solve business challenges
· Broad experience working horizontally across functional organizations such as engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and information technology
· Ability to influence and build consensus among executives, other leaders, and engineers
· Ability to remotely collaborate with a team of experts based in various locations throughout the US
 
Desired Qualifications:
· Active security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
· Experience with Lean & Agile practices
· Organizational Change Management, specifically managing adoption and resistance to new ways or working

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $130,000 to $190,000 annually. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
