Job Title: P&C DesignerJob Description We are seeking a talented and experienced P&C Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and revision of drawings for one-lines, physical arrangements, grounding, schematics, wiring, control and relaying panels, and equipment wiring. You will coordinate with CAD operators to create organized and quality CAD drawings, integrate protection and control drawings with the physical layout and design of substations, and design interfaces with SCADA systems and communications including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs. Additionally, you will develop control and relay panel layouts, project criteria, and design specifications including the overall bill of materials. Responsibilities + Develop and revise drawings for one-lines, physical arrangements, grounding, schematics, wiring, control and relaying panels, and equipment wiring. + Coordinate with CAD operators to produce organized and quality CAD drawings. + Integrate protection and control drawings to interface with the physical layout and design of substations. + Design interfaces with SCADA systems and communications including RTUs, HMIs, and IEDs. + Develop control and relay panel layouts and assemble specifications. + Create project criteria and develop design specifications including the overall bill of materials. Essential Skills + Substation design + Protection & Controls design experience (3 years) + Electrical engineering + Relay + AutoCAD + MicroStation + Substation engineering + Power delivery + SCADA Additional Skills & Qualifications + 3-8 years of Protection & Controls engineering design experience in projects up to 500kV + Experience developing relay settings Work Environment The Substation Group consists of about 65 people, evenly split between Physical and P&C. The P&C group has the opportunity to work fully remotely. This role offers consistent and steady work with a large utility client operating across five states and supporting other IOUs throughout the country. There is significant growth opportunity within the substation team as it continues to expand. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $51.00/hr.
