Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accountant with a strong background in accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of accounting experience and be proficient in month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. Must have experience with Sage. This position is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities:
•\tPrepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP
•\tParticipate in the month-end and year-end close processes
•\tParticipate in the preparation of consolidated financial statements
•\tMonitor general ledger accounts and perform reconciliations
•\tPrepare inter-company reconciliations
•\tCoordinate and prepare internal and external financial reports
•\tSupport budgeting and forecasting activities
•\tEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
•\tParticipate in the audit/tax prep process and liaise with external auditors
•\tIdentify process improvements and implement best practices
•\tProvide financial analysis to support management decisions
•\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial issues
•\tParticipate in system implementations and upgrades as needed
•\tAssist CFO and Controller with ad hoc reporting and projects
Skills & RequirementsEducation / Experience
•\tBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
•\tCPA license preferred
•\tRequired - 2+ years’ experience of public accounting in a national CPA firm, Big 4 preferred
•\tRequired - 4+ years’ experience of corporate accounting and general ledger, Start-ups preferred
•\tAdvanced understanding of GAAP
•\tStrong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
•\tProficiency in accounting ERP systems, i.e. Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
•\tHighly proficient in Microsoft Office and other technology systems
•\tProficient in Excel
