Description Remote opportunity- We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be tasked with supervising financial records, creating extensive financial reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations. Responsibilities: • Ensure the correct recording and classification of financial transactions. • Supervise the general ledger accounts, ensuring their accuracy and compliance. • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, guaranteeing timely and precise financial reporting. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the business's performance. • Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. • Oversee outstanding invoices, collections, and vendor payments. • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing documentation and reconciliations. • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making. • Ensure adherence to GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards. • Provide guidance and mentorship to entry level accounting staff. • Assist in the preparation of corporate tax filings, sales tax, VAT, and other regulatory reports. Requirements • Candidate must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field in the Healthcare Industry • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required • Must have experience with Balance Sheet Reconciliation • The candidate should have a thorough understanding of General Ledger • Experience in Journal Entries is expected • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required • Must have experience in Month End Close • Familiarity with Month-end Close Activities is necessary • Experience in Workday software is a plus • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required Remote position - within Indy Metro Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
