Remote Structural Engineer
Job Title: Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer 4 or 5 to help lead our team. You will design and oversee the construction of various structures, including new constructions and refurbishments of older structures. You will analyze immediate and future loads on buildings to ensure public safety, assess foundations, beams, and overall structural integrity, and work across different construction phases such as design, construction, extensions, conversions, and repairs. You will support the new and existing structural design of oil/gas midstream facilities.

Looking for the following experience:Professional Engineer license-PE Experience supporting oil and gas projects -- preferably midstreamBS in Structural or Civil Engineering or higher. \t15+ years of experience preferred. Need experience in concrete foundations and steelEngineering of Grading, Erosion, and Sediment Control Plans for Site improvementsEngineering of reinforced concrete foundations (spread footing, drilled piers, helical piles)Engineering of simple and complex structures (Pipe supports, pipe racks, platforms, equipment skids, etc.)Proficient in using Structural Engineering Software such as RISA, STAAD, MathCAD and spreadsheetsResponsible for setting up and maintaining an organized file system for design drawingsProvide efficiency reviews and/or value engineering options for existing designsAbility to use a computer and computer software programs, including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, CADWorx, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

•\tAbility to lead a discipline engineering team on projects with no guidance; supervise design personnel and other staff specialists.

•\tReview and check designs; assists in the development of design guides, guide specifications and design control procedures.

•\tServe as the lead Engineer or technical expert on all project sizes. Planning and managing the engineering activities on a project.

•\tMaintaining the schedule and budget of assigned projects.

•\tConducting engineering tasks while supervising work for a team of engineers assigned to a project.

•\tPerforms engineering calculations and develops analysis models for projects.

•\tMentor less experienced engineers, designers and drafters.

•\tInterface with other disciplines, vendors, clients and contractors.
