REMOTE Structural Engineer
Job Title: Structural Engineer - Team Lead Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer, specializing in the design and implementation of transportation projects with the MTA and DOT. The ideal candidate will have a strong work history in structural engineering, a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. Key Responsibilities: + Team Lead + Lead and manage structural engineering projects for primarily the MTA and Amtrak projects such as the Broadway Junction in Brooklyn and ADA upgrades throughout the region + Supervise drafting and drawing development + Will mentor 2 or more junior engineers + Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors. + Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. + Prepare and present project reports and documentation to clients and stakeholders. + Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Qualifications: + Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification. + Minimum of 10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on transportation infrastructure projects. + Proven experience with MTA projects is highly desirable. + Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design software. + Familiarity with Microstation + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Remote Flexibility: Able to Work Fully Remote if located outside of NYC 5 boroughs. Must be two hours within NYC and able to come in once a month for meetings/walk-throughs.
