Apply now for the position of Remote Support Engineer 2 –Magnet Technologies and you will provide technical support to customers or Field Service Engineers (FSEs) for Magnet systems manufactured by Siemens Healthineers, triage calls through attempting remote diagnosis and/or remote repair. 

Your Role: 

You provide remote service support for superconducting electromagnets with focus on:Monitoring, evaluating, and approving liquid helium volumes and orders requested by our field service partnersMagnetic field shim analysis and support for shim iterations when neededProactive analysis of systems demonstrating abnormal behavior, in an effort to contain liquid helium lossesCollaboration with the PROA/Guardian and Chiller Support teams to ensure magnet and refrigeration system healthCollaboration with Magnet Expert (MAX) CSE’s to conduct advanced service functions (cold head exchanges, top-off de-ice procedures, and thermal cycles)Manage escalations and communicate with the Magnet HSC for deeper analysis when requireYou create notifications for incoming FSE/Customer calls, utilize real time task management for documentation of work performed and recommended action plan. You provide rapid recovery support for quenched magnets, evaluation of advanced magnet supervision logs, quench root cause analysisYou perform on-site support of local service teams with repair of customer equipment when necessary or work on-call/stand-by or travel out of the assigned area as scheduled by the Operations Manager to meet obligations of customer contracts or due to emergencies.

Your Expertise:

Associates Degree or vocational technical training required in the areas of healthcare imaging equipment service; superconductive magnet tools and service test equipment; Magnet service training including magnet de-icing, cold head replacement, Magnet cooldown and shim calculationMore than 2 years+ experience working in a field service role supporting healthcare imaging equipment Proficient skills in typing and Outlook, Excel, Word, and other job critical applications Excellent communication and documentation skillsValid passport is required

 This position provides support from 10:00am to 7:00pm EST with occasional shift change as needed.

 The pay range for this position is $67,290  -  $87,080 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
