Oversees day-to-day plant operations, maintenance and repairs. Responsible for monitoring plant operating performance; maintaining plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and instruments and controls; preparing and documenting necessary operating and outage reports; reviews and/or develops standard operating procedures; prepares, develops, and implements maintenance plans and schedules; and coordinates all activities of subcontractors.
**LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY**
• Performs responsibilities with standardized processes. Works under general supervision. Resolves routine questions and problems using basic principles of field. Refers the more complex issues to higher levels. Generally follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. Some latitude for deviation.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
• Obtain or initiate action to obtain parts/materials for jobs, as needed.
• Assist site personnel to manage and track parts/materials delivered to the site, as needed.
• Assists in the development of safety policies and procedures for renewable generation facilities, as needed.
• Assists with audits, inspections, and verifies quality of work performed by contractors and report findings, as needed.
• Complies with all safety and regulatory requirements, both internal and external.
• Conducts on-site orientation to include safety practices and procedures to all contractors and visitors.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs, as needed, including reading and interpreting drawings and schematics, as needed.
• Performs balance of plant activities including inspections, maintenance and repair of both equipment and roads.
**REQUIREMENTS**
• Associate's Degree in related mechanical/technical field (e.g., Electronics, Engineering Technology) or equivalent Renewable Energy Certificate and 2 years experience in a related Utility, industrialized mechanical or electrical field (e.g., Power Plant Operator, Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Military power generation); Or
• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years experience in a related Utility, industrialized mechanical or electrical field (e.g., Power Plant Operator, Mechanic, Maintenance Technician, Military power generation) and 2 years of Renewable Energy Technician experience.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
• Requires walking on uneven work surfaces and rough terrain.
• Required to work in a multi-craft crew including Mechanics, Electricians, Insulators, Instrument & Controls Technicians, Helpers and Machinists who work together to support operations of the site.
• Work in small, enclosed areas, high places, dusty conditions and work independently under stressful conditions.
• Work outside in all types of weather conditions.
• May be required to cross-train in various crafts and operation department at various times of the year.
• Requires wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• May be required to work under hazardous conditions.
• Exposed to extreme conditions and inclement weather.
• Required to work non-standard work schedules to include on-call, overtime, weekends, holidays, and call-outs.
• Required to work at heights up to and exceeding two hundred eighty (280) feet.

**SPECIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS**
• Member is required to drive in order to perform their job duties. Member is assigned a company vehicle and/or member must drive a company and/or personal vehicle to complete company business at least 50% of time.
• The handling, packaging, processing, storage, disposal or transport of hazardous materials;
• The operation of equipment, machinery or power tools;
• Repairing, maintaining or monitoring the performance or operation of any equipment, machinery or manufacturing process, the malfunction or disruption of which could result in injury or property damage;
• Performing firefighting duties – Fire fighter duties does not include responding to incipient stage/coal fires;
• The extraction, compression, processing, manufacturing, handling, packaging, storage, disposal, treatment or transport of potentially volatile, flammable, combustible materials, elements, chemicals or any other highly regulated component;
• The operation, maintenance or oversight of critical services and infrastructure including but not limited to, electric utilities, power generation or distribution;
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAS)**
• Ability to understand and comply with company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to understand equipment, systems, and processes.
• Ability to use common purpose hand tools and other materials of various craft trades.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to compile and analyze data in order to quantify and evaluate maintenance costs and down time of wind turbine generation.
• Ability to communicate effectively in speech and writing.
• Ability to interact effectively and professionally with team members, leaders, and customers.
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnosis problems, and resolve effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles.
• Knowledge and understanding of wind turbines principles and processes.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity working with mechanical equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership in IIF (Incident and Injury Free) culture.
• Ability to work at heights up to and exceeding two hundred eighty (280) feet.
• Computer skills with knowledge of MS Office Suite applications.
• Knowledge and understanding of safety requirements and the use of personal protective equipment.
