Position Overview

The Renewal Specialist is responsible for driving, forecasting, and ensuring the closure of renewals. This role focuses on the identification and mitigation of renewal churn risk and ensures the delivery of irresistible customer experiences.
As a Renewal Specialist, you will engage with customers to ensure high retention rates and customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes fostering strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs, and guiding them through the renewal process. Working closely with Customer Success and Sales teams, the Renewal Specialist also helps identify opportunities for contract extensions, upsells, and cross-sells while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive renewal strategy to meet or exceed retention and revenue growth targetsIdentify opportunities to maximize customer lifetime value by understanding customer needs and delivering valueBuild strong relationships with key customers, serving as a trusted advisor to ensure satisfaction and retentionPartner with Customer Success, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to support customer growth and engagementResolve potential barriers to renewal, including addressing customer concerns and mitigating risksTrack, analyze, and report on key renewal metrics (e.g., renewal rate, churn, upsell opportunities) to senior managementContinuously improve renewal processes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Renewals & Customer Success in Software Solutions SalesProven track record of achieving assigned renewal quotas and reducing churnExperience implementing Q+1 renewal forecast processesAbility to establish and maintain review cadence with top partnersStrong analytical skills with the ability to report on sales results and analyze customer segments, regions, sales channels, and products

The Ideal Candidate

Oversee the end-to-end renewal process for Strategic Territory accounts, ensuring timely renewal and minimizing churnProactively engage with customers to address their requirements, concerns, and support needs to secure renewalsWork with Sales and Account Management teams to pursue potential growth opportunities within accountsMaintain accurate renewal forecasts and track renewal progress in SFDCIdentify at-risk accounts and proactively resolve issues that may affect customer satisfaction and renewal likelihoodStrong negotiation and communication skills with extensive experience in Renewal Sales
