Renovations Project Manager - Dallas, TX

We’re are currently seeking a Renovations Project Manager who will be responsible for managing deadlines, budgets and internal / external communication for multiple interior renovation projects within our multi-family portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for overseeing apartment renovation projects. Develop a template scope for each project and work with outside contractors and in-house maintenance personnel to complete work on schedule and within agreed upon budget. Develop project related bid documents and oversee competitive bid process. Work closely with in-house project and design manager to select finishes, appliance brands, types of flooring and other unit upgrade styles. Work closely with Community Managers, Regional Project Manager, and our VP and SVP of Facilities on project strategy & timelines. Communicate with selected and non-selected vendors, establish report and enhance our relationships with renovation related vendors. Stays abreast of renovation, construction and industry trends. Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets for renovation projects. Assure adherence to all applicable company policies & procedures while also complying with federal, state and local laws. Treats all staff, vendors, tenants, government officials and others with integrity, honesty and respect.

Requirements:

A minimum of 1-3 years of previous supervisor or management of multi-family maintenance, construction or renovation experience. Previous experience overseeing multiple projects at the same time. Strong financial and analytical acumen. Proven experience maintaining client and vendors relationships. Excellent leadership abilities, problem solving techniques and conflict resolution skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. User knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and mobile devices. Some college level coursework or trade school education preferred. Ability to travel, locally and /or overnight, up to 25% of the time.
