Rental Mechanic
Adecco is looking to staff multiple clients and locations in the Troy, MI area. Horus are standard M-F 8Am to 5PM, with OT and other opportunities possible. Your role would start off full time in the shop and have the option to advance and become a traveling mechanical operator. They will be responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various rental equipment such as generators and skid steers to ensure they are safe and functional for customers. This job is for someone who fixes and keeps rental machines like tools, hoses, machines, generators, and other equipment working properly so that customers can use them safely. **Skill Requirements** _Must-Have Requirements_ : + Hands-on experience as a **mechanic** , **technician** , or similar role. + Familiarity with **mechanical tools** , **diagnostic equipment** , and **repair techniques** . + Ability to **troubleshoot** and repair various tools and machinery including **generators** , **pressure washers** , **skid steers** , etc. + Physical ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. + Basic computer skills for logging repairs and maintenance records. _Preferred Requirements_ : + Experience in construction, automotive repair or industrial equipment maintenance. + Knowledge of hydraulic systems, small engines and electrical systems. + Certifications such as ASE or Small Engine Mechanic Certification. **Skill Education** - **Mechanic** : A professional skilled in repairing and maintaining machinery. - **Technician** : A worker skilled in the technical aspects of a particular field. - **Tools** : Devices or implements used to carry out a particular function like repair or maintenance work. - **Machinery** : Machines collectively used in an industry like construction or manufacturing. - **Generators:** Machines that convert mechanical energy into electrical energy for other devices' operation. - **Pressure Washers:** High-pressure sprayers used for cleaning surfaces like buildings or vehicles. - **Skid Steers:** Compact machines used primarily for digging but capable of performing various tasks with different attachments. - **Trenchers:** Machines used to dig trenches especially for laying pipes or cables underground. - **Compactors:** Machines used to reduce the size of waste material through compaction. - **Preventive Maintenance:** Regularly performed activities aimed at preventing breakdowns and ensuring optimal functioning of machinery. - **Troubleshoot:** The process of diagnosing the source of a problem with machinery or systems. - **Repair Techniques:** Methods employed in fixing broken parts or systems ensuring they are operational again. - **Diagnostic Equipment:** Tools used to identify issues within machinery through systematic testing. **Pay Details:** $20.00 to $24.00 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
