Introduction:

 

We are seeking a Repair Production Manager to join our Mesa Repair Center at Metso. In this role, you will oversee the Mesa repair shop production process, ensuring the right resources (machinery and personnel) to complete the projects on time in accordance with OEM standards. Collaborating with the Mesa Repairs Planners and Estimators to prepare schedules, estimate costs and prepare budgets. Drives production workflow to ensure meeting of deadlines and budget with optimum use of resources. Enforces clean and safe repair production facility incorporating lean practices.

 

In this position, you will report to the VP, Sales & Service, USA.

 

This position will be located in Mesa, AZ (US) but, we are willing to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options; and this role may involve up to 15% of travel.

 

What you’ll do:

Responsible for Repair production operations in the Mesa Service Center including resource management, performance management and work order management. Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure that production unit follows legislative and Metso HSE requirements. Ensure that all production activities are conducted in accordance with Metso quality control standards, procedures, ITP’s and quality specifications together with the Quality Manager. Ensure Repairs production activities are conducted in accordance with Metso processes, instructions and training, with a specific focus on our brand requirements, training principles, Repairs process and proper utilization of the Repairs digital tools (RMS, SAP). Estimate and agree on budgets and schedule of repair production activities together with Mesa Repairs Planners, Estimators and Business Operations Manager. Assess project/repair service jobs and related resource requirements. Create, plan and organize repair service production schedules. Ensure efficient use of resources, optimize their allocation, and maintain appropriate staffing levels for production operations. Support management to build competency and capacity as required. Conduct ongoing production inspections, identifying areas requiring extra/rework and mitigating risks. Monitor repair service production activities to resolve issues. Initiate asset (machinery) maintenance and new investment requirement. Report repair production status and estimate to complete (ETC) per repair service job. Act as the main contact and authority for Metso with customers and any third-party vendors or subcontractors that may be employed to work on repair service projects. Performs other miscellaneous tasks and other special projects, as required

 

Who you are:

4+ years’ experience in manufacturing, construction or mining related industry preferred. Shop management experience is desirable. Strong supervisory and leadership skills in workshop environment. Knowledge of production management. Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts. Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations. Advanced organizational and leaderships skills. A focus on achieving outcomes through effective decision-making abilities. Strong customer service / customer satisfaction capabilities. Skilled in establishing and maintaining partnerships within the organization, engaging in discussions, and grasping the essentials of customer preferences and market conditions. Demonstrates a high level of expertise in product specifications, with the ability to accurately understand and utilize engineering schematics and exhibits a robust capability for mechanical concepts. Proficient at juggling various tasks across numerous projects, adeptly arranging and assigning priorities, and sustaining productivity in a swiftly moving workplace. Willingness to actively engage in problem solving opportunities. High levels of motivation and a focus on results are essential. Effective communication proficiency, along with a teamwork-oriented, interpersonal, and public speaking aptitude, for navigating interactions across various group boundaries. Computer skills is essential – MS Office. Proficiency in SAP or RMS will be viewed favorably
