Your role and responsibilitiesPerforms service tasks such as troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and testingChecks technical documentation, bill of materials, user manuals, and data sheets to understand product components and expected behavior/performancePrepares repair reports, detailing the root cause of product failures/defectsInspects customer repair submissions, localizing the source of errorsRetrieve components necessary for daily production from stock locations; return excess parts to storage. Assist with digital and physical inventory on a regular basis (e.g., weekly/monthly/quaterly)Executes production assembly orders according to workshop processes and guidelinesReceive incoming shipments and verify the accuracy of the delivered components against documentation. Inspect and report any damaged or missing itemsCompletes daily production tracking documentation: parts produced, parts passed, parts failedDisassemble, reassemble, and re-test components that did not pass inspection. Return failed components to HQ for replacementParticipates in daily production team meetingsAssists in identifying and resolving quality and reliability problems, in accordance with company policies and proceduresPackage completed assemblies and repairs, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging, deliver to shipping.
Qualifications for the roleHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in high-tech manufacturingKnowledge of electronic assembly, ESD mitigation procedures, repairs, and associated toolsCapable of assembling a PC with knowledge of computer hardware, parts/componentsAbility to operate material handling equipment, such as shrink wrappers and pallet jacksStrong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goodsProficiency with English both written and oral, technical instructionsAbility to read and interpret technical diagrams and electrical schematicsComplete ongoing safety trainings successfully and ability to use required PPEHigh attention to detail, able to follow instructionsStrong interpersonal skills, ability to work within a teamApproximately 10% travel, international; valid passport with no barriers to travelMust be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipmentMust be able to work in a physical environment affected by climate conditions such as heat, humidity, and cold.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
