Job Description
This role involves working with returned electronic products, particularly focusing on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and system-level products. Your main tasks include inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and refurbishing these products. Additionally, you will be responsible for updating and recording all related RMA statuses in the database and preparing detailed repair reports for each case.
ResponsibilitiesInspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish all customer-returned products, including peripherals, PCB (printed circuit board) board-level, and system-level products.Assist in identifying tooling, testing procedures, and processes, including evaluating new hardware and software products.Repair or replace devices for customers promptly.Update and record all related RMA statuses in the RMA database and prepare repair reports for each RMA case.Essential SkillsTwo years of experience in rework, troubleshooting, and repairing PCB board and system-level products, with skills in Ball Grid Array (BGA) chipset and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) component replacement.Proficiency in hand soldering.Ability to remove or install SMT components.Experience using a microscope.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, assembly diagrams, and soldering specifications.Ability to identify defects such as cold solder joints, bridging, or improper component placement.Attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience troubleshooting & reworking SMT components using hand soldering tools (i.e. Ball Grid Array & Integrated Components).Familiarity with diagnosing & reworking common soldering problems (i.e. cold solder joint, bridging).Current or previous IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.Why Work Here?

The work environment is a very clean manufacturing facility. You will be part of a smaller team of approximately 25 employees. The schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Monday to Friday) with occasional weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
