Health Care Information Systems has a temporary need for an experienced consultant to support clinical business intelligence and data warehousing. This individual will develop new and support existing reports and database applications, working with Epic Clarity, Business Objects Enterprise and associated reporting tools. This is an estimated 2-3 month assignment with an opportunity to extend.
The Epic Report Analyst must be knowledgeable regarding business processing needs involved in hospital and clinic operations. This position analyzes, provides specifications for, and writes individual reports for assigned applications. Serves as the primary reporting resources and have responsibility and focus on system support, maintenance, analysis, design, specifications documentation, change control, and versioning of all reporting components used to build and manage and perform multisystem Hospital reporting.
Defines report requirements; designs/develops/tests/installs/implements report based programs; report programming designs; and codes/test/debugs/documents system scripts, programs and reports in application, web and database environments.
Responsible for validating model system reports and identifying advanced reporting needs with report consumers. Meets with Epic application coordinators and report consumers to understand their reporting needs. May create new reports using a third-party report-writing tool to display Clarity data.
Each individual must be able to work to 1) identify and resolve systems issues in coordination with other team members across all other Epic applications, 2) work closely with Operational counterparts to ensure consistent business processing methods, 3) provide expert and creative solutions to end-user requirements and problems, 4) perform in-depth analyses of workflows, data collection, interface integration needs, reporting requirements, and 5) take the initiative to respond, research and resolve operational inquiries pertaining to EMR applications.
The Epic Report Analyst is responsible for obtaining the appropriate Epic certification(s) and maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the software functionality and acquiring knowledge of the clinical or revenue cycle/access workflows to be implemented and supported within the system.
