Be a part of a hard-working, award-winning, aggressive newsroom aiming to produce the best newspaper in the state, both in print and online. Our interns get a real taste of the business covering a broad variety of news and features alongside professional colleagues. You will have a chance to play an active role in our news organization. And at the end of the summer, you will have an abundance of experience and a full collection of work to show future employers. Internships typically start in May and run 10 weeks or so (but we make sure it’s always long enough for you to meet your college’s requirements, if there are any). These are paid, full-time 40-hour per week internships. We’re located in a bustling city of 57,000 on the banks of the Mississippi River. The city offers after-work opportunities ranging from a vibrant arts scene to a variety of nightlife options to an abundance of outdoor recreation possibilities.
