The representative may also be responsible for the coordination of bed assignments for patients, including transfers, direct admits, ER admits, etc.
Data entry and/or secretary/receptionist experience helpful. Up to 6 months of on-the-job training plus periodic updating is provided. Previous experience in customer service or healthcare environments is beneficial. Communication skills, clerical accuracy, Public Relations aptitudes, scheduling, and sound judgment. Ability to do several tasks simultaneously, handle multiple priorities with interruption, and complete accurately and timely. Good telephone manners. Medical terminology and knowledge of insurance are helpful.
