Job overview and responsibilities
Maintenance Planners are the main liaison between technicians and management for all support functions associated with production. They fulfill several critical functions in the production process:Analyze maintenance performance and use results to define what resources (labor, materials, etc) are needed to meet production requirementsLead a variety of planning, scheduling, and documentation activities in both in the shop and the support officeCommunicate with production management on the status of paper packages and other issues that require immediate attention Coordinate with planners, buyers, material coordinators, and production supervisors to obtain piece parts needed for productionCustodian for each part’s paper package, which is used to track all repairs and ensure appropriate engineering service bulletins are accomplishedValidate all labor data transactions and any other required computer system data updatesPackage validation and preparationAccount for all tasks, audit and finalize package for records retentionIncreased regulatory compliance by validating all required documents are provided to records department in allotted timeMore accurate time tracking increasing quality of data which enhances future event span requirement periodicallyReview and verify daily labor hours in online management system (PCS) and make corrections as neededCorrections include adding, modifying, and deleting labor as necessaryParts ordering and follow-up with key stakeholders such as AOG/ Inventory Planning/ Base Controllers to ensure we meet production scheduleData entry and validation in multiple systems such as SCEPTRE, PCS and TOCSReview and analyze shop production data repair vs. purchase cost working closely with the shop team to make timely decisions and meet production scheduleQualifications
Required
High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of planning experience in the Airline or related IndustryExperience with internet-based management and tracking systemsAble to read part drawings and validate drawings against other documentsNavigate engineering document librariesTrack hundreds of parts in various stages of repair across multiple locationsCross-functional communication with planners, engineers, and mechanicsWork well under pressure Able to manage stressExcellent multitaskerSelf starterMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionPreferred
Understanding of matrix organizing, analyzing, and reportingWorking knowledge of SCEPTRE and TOCSBe able to identify process issues and provide ideas for resolutionFeel comfortable highlighting production shortfalls and communicating areas for improvement to production supervisorsThe base pay range for this role is $52,725.00 to $71,830.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
