Representative Patient Access
Job Summary The Patient Access Representative (PAR) is responsible for patient registration, scheduling, customer service and clerical support. Duties include accepting, recording and verifying insurance information, processing preauthorization requests, collecting copays and account balance payments, scanning documents into EMR and other administrative tasks related to the efficient operations of the department. Incumbents must ensure contact with patients, families, the community, vendors, coworkers and physicians is carried out in a friendly, courteous, helpful and considerate manner. The PAR is also expected to complete other responsibilities in an accurate and timely manner as needed or assigned. Part Time Position : This role requires 2 day shifts (8am- 1pm) and 2 evening shifts (2-7pm) per week ( this role could be either 5 days a week, 4 hours per shift or two 8-hour shifts and one 4-hour shift are also options). There is a weekend and holiday commitment. One weekend shift per month (Sat or Sun, not both) and one holiday every 2-3 years in the Radiology dept.
