Reputation and Strategic Risk Analyst
REPUTATION AND STRATEGIC RISK ANALYST WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY? Reporting to the SVP of Reputation and Strategic Risk Management in the Second Line of Defense (2LOD), will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of City National Bank's (CNB's) Reputation and Strategic Risk Management program. The position supports the implementation of the Bank's risk objectives, to include the governance, execution, monitoring, and reporting of Reputation risks. The role will require general knowledge in bank risk management specific to 2LOD functions as well as strong project management and process management skills. What you will do Support the development and expansion of the Reputation and Strategic Risk Management program Lead project management efforts including the establishing the cadence and driving the execution of Reputation and Risk Management activities Research reputation and strategic risk developments within the financial services sector Assist with the development of the Reputation Risk Committee governance structure Assist with the development and annual updates of in-scope policies and procedures Monitor, address, and report all in-scope audit, regulatory, and self-identified issues and findings Support horizontal regulatory programs in scope for the risk management organization Support other Enterprise Risk Management efforts as required Lead the processes to address all ad-hoc requests, as applicable Demonstrated knowledge of bank products and background in Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, and/or Risk Management preferred Must-Have* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Minimum 8 years of experience in a corporate setting Minimum 6 years combined experience in risk management / banking Minimum 3 years of experience with MS Office Skills and Knowledge Ability to work locally in the downtown Los Angeles office, or ability to travel regularly, is required Proven experience working within risk management functions at financial institutions (e.g. Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Compliance Risk, Enterprise Risk, etc.), preferably larger institutions subject to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s (OCC) requirements for Heightened Standards Demonstrated knowledge of and background in 2LOD Risk governance Demonstrated knowledge of reputation risk Proven experience in risk governance and risk governance programs Working knowledge of bank or finance products preferred Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Must be able to capture and critically evaluate business problems/requirements and translate into working solutions Proactive work style used to consistently communicate project status, issues and completion plans Experience using GRC software packages / tools (e.g. Archer, OpenPages, MetricStream, etc.) a plus Compensation Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per Year.
