Reputational Risk Analyst

Job Description:

At Regions, the Risk Analyst performs advanced risk analyst duties as a first or second- line of defense function for the bank. This position will lead the coordination efforts with internal and external parties to conduct financial reporting, controls, policy and procedure documentation, governance activities, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, this position will develop and implement independent reporting and/or financial analysis to assist in the Risk team’s oversight role. This role will assist in improvement efforts and provide regular updates on various practices, reports, policies, and procedures within the department.

Primary Responsibilities

Conducts moderately complex identification, measurement, mitigation, monitoring, and reporting tasksDesigns, develops, and reports independent analyses that provide greater insight into risk exposures and mitigation effortsEnhances team processes and updates policies and procedures to reflect improvementsParticipates in the team’s preparation and involvement in regulatory examinations, which may include the annual Federal Reserve stress tests, examinations, etc.Remains well informed of regulatory and industry practicesResolves a range of problems and analyzes possible solutions using standard proceduresBuilds advanced knowledge of the organization, processes, and customersMay serve on related committees and/or working groupsMay perform financial stress testing simulationsMay offer advice and guidance to junior analysts on occasion

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay. 

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related fieldFour (4) years of related experienceWorking knowledge of fundamental risk theories, principles, and concepts

Using a variety of internal and external research tools, investigate reputational risk events and issues, and assess the potential impact to the company, typically under time pressure. Perform a variety of governance activities related to reputational risk processes, among them:Create presentations, committee reporting, and other documentation as required, including program and process documents, fulfill duties related to reputational risks, controls, metrics, and findings in GRC Reach.Assist the Head of Reputation Management with enterprise projects as needed. Represent Reputation Management as needed at various committee and working group meetings.

This position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week.  The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations.  Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

$80,730.00 USD
