Responsibilities of a Requirements Engineer include:

Conducting capability analysis to document functional requirements for a unified eHR system Addressing EMR gaps with emphasis on real-time decision support and secure data sharing Defining requirements for teleconsultation, mobile access, and clinical alerts Facilitating requirements-gathering sessions at CBP sites to capture user needs Documenting mission-aligned requirements for CBP’s eHR strategy Providing technical insights to shape the eHR strategic roadmap Ensuring compliance, interoperability, and privacy per DHS and CBP standards Preparing acquisition documents, such as the Operational Requirements Document Aligning documentation with CBP’s operational and healthcare objectives Defining AWS-specific requirements for real-time support and data sharing Translating operational needs into AWS-compatible specifications Focusing on AWS requirements for mobile access, alerts, and teleconsultation Providing compliance and security guidance for AWS integration roadmap Drafting AWS-focused acquisition documents aligned with CBP standards
