Job Title: Pre-Award Specialist IIJob Description The Pre-Award Specialist II provides pre-award services to help research investigators develop and submit federal, state, foundation, private and other sponsored project proposals throughout the entire research enterprise of the health system. Responsibilities + Provide services in various aspects of the proposal preparation phase. + Interpret sponsoring agency's guidelines and develop budgets. + Gather documentation to support sub awards and subcontracts. + Coordinate required approvals and ensure regulatory requirements are met. + Oversee and manage up to 80 assigned proposals per year. + Review project budgets. + Coordinate proposal development assistance to Principal Investigators (PI). + Ensure that proposals meet sponsor requirements and are compliant with guidelines. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience in research administration or grants management. + Bachelor's Degree required, higher education preferred. + Strong proposal development experience. + Knowledge of grant research and partnering with different federal agencies (NIH). + Proficiency in software packages such as Huron Research Suite and Assist through NIH. + Ability to read, comprehend, interpret, and apply government regulations and proposal guidelines. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Contribute knowledge for training and education related to high-quality proposal development. + Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Work Environment This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days per week on-site at the Jacksonville, Florida location. The role supports the entire research enterprise for pediatrics and various therapeutic areas and departments. You will report to the Sponsored Programs department.
