No Duties and Responsibilities The position directly supports proposal preparation efforts of our faculty/staff, ensuring each proposal meets the technical and budgetary requirements of the sponsoring agency, federal regulations, and the policies/procedures of the University prior to submission. Assists with all administrative/ non financial post award requirements.
-Interacts with principal investigators, assisting them with development, preparation, and submission of proposals for external funding to various funding agencies.
- Reviews all proposals prior to submission and confirms compliance with sponsor guidelines, as well as with University and ORS policies and procedures.
- Reviews and analyzes award documents prior to acceptance.
- Keeps updated on all new federal and state regulations that apply to the grant process; interprets agency-specific guidelines/regulations that apply to the proposal and award process.
- Provides consultation and expertise to faculty, staff and sponsors regarding terms and conditions of grants, contracts, and subcontracts.
- Collaborates and creates partnerships with other units within the University that interact and serve principal investigators.
- Performs related duties as required. Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Bachelor’s degree in related field and two-four years of related experience in grant and contract administration. Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and analytical skills required. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work well with a variety of constituents.

Candidates should be familiar with electronic research administration such as Grants.gov/eRA Commons, NSF, DOJ, etc. Candidates should possess advanced computer skills, and have the ability to quickly master specialized software applications. Certificates/Credentials/Licenses none Computer Skills Proficient computer skills, ability to use MS Office and adept user of Internet, e-mail and other office automation systems.
