**39617BR** **Extended Job Title:** Research Administrator III **Org Level 1:** Texas Tech Unv Hlth Sci Ctr El Paso **Position Description:** Performs routine pre-award and/or post-award sponsored programs activities associated with management and oversight of the life cycle of awards. **Requisition ID:** 39617BR **Travel Required:** Up to 25% **Major/Essential Functions:** + Review federal, state, private, local and foundation grants for compliance with sponsor guidelines and institutional policy; will provide education and support to faculty/staff during the proposal development process. Ensures compliance with sponsor guidelines, institutional policy and applicable federal and state laws. Assume AO responsibilities and submit grant applications directly to federal and state sponsors on behalf of the institution. + Employee must ensure all sponsored program documents and information are saved accurately and in the appropriate location. + Overview of new fund requests and budget revisions for each budget period of an awarded sponsored project. + Serve as liaison for post-award stage between the Principal Investigator and the sponsoring agency as well as the liaison between campus and Sponsored Programs. + Ensure individuals and institutions are not debarred from receiving grants/contracts and that all necessary research committee approvals are in place. + Assist with verification of all required institutional, local, private, foundation, federal and state approvals. + Perform non-financial post award management. + Attend required Research Administrator training to stay up to date on all relevant regulatory changes or updates. + Review, request changes from sponsor when required and approve grant awards after ensuring all required local, private, foundation, institutional, federal and state approvals have been received and are current. + Prepare and execute outgoing subaward agreements and amendments as needed throughout the life of a grant/contract that includes funding for a sub-awardee. + Review, negotiate contracts. + Complete all other duties as assigned by the directors of Sponsored Programs. + Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures and processes. + Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork).
