Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements Standing and/or sitting for long periods of time. Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 30 lbs. Shift Monday–Friday, mostly days (typically 8:00am – 5:00pm). Some nights and weekends may be required. Job Summary The laboratory of Dr. Bjoern Bauer is seeking an experienced Research Analyst.

The Research Analyst perform laboratory procedures including: Bradford assays ELISA assays Wester blotting JESS protein analysis immunohistochemistry colony breeding and maintenance genotyping conduct behavioral experiments confocal microscopy independently perform brain capillary isolations from mouse, rat and human brain tissue


They will also help provide after-hours care of animals when necessary.

The Research Analyst will provide administrative support (e.g., mailing, faxing, lab calendar, labeling, completing paperwork), general laboratory duties (e.g., buffer preparation, cleaning and organizing laboratory and office spaces), place orders, inventory and record keeping of research drugs and controlled substances, assist with general laboratory management.

This position will also collect, record, document, and summarize research data, prepare SOPs, write IACUC and IBC protocols, assist with data analysis and writing up results. They will also train team members in lab procedures and develop training materials and presentations.  Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
