See www.rosnerlab.com for more information. This at-will position is wholly or partially funded by contractual grant funding which is renewed under provisions set by the grantor of the contract. Employment will be contingent upon the continued receipt of these grant funds and satisfactory job performance.


Job Summary
 

We are looking for a self-motivated, research focused individual to join Rosner lab as a Research Analyst. Our goal is to understand how to reprogram tumor cells to suppress metastasis and enhance therapeutic efficacy. Our group is interdisciplinary and employs a variety of tools including gene manipulation, signal transduction, single cell sequencing, ChIP, bioinformatic analysis, network modeling, cell culture, hypoxia and mouse tumor models.

Responsibilities

Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.

Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.

Installs, sets up and performs experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.

Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

General knowledge of breast cancer and recent scientific findings related to cancer.

Expert level of skill in: Molecular Biology, DNA, RNA, Protein isolation, purification and expression, Southern, Northern, Western blotting, PCR, RT-PCR, Plasmid preparation, Cell culture (primary and established human and mouse lines), Transfection and isolation of clones, and Hypoxia-related studies.
