Assistant Economist, Research & Analysis Hub
Location: Warsaw (our office is located in the Warsaw Spire building)

The Assistant Economist, equivalent to an Analyst or Senior Analyst position, will be part of our growing team of Researchers in JBS. This role will monitor the economy and support the Chief Economist and Global Director of Macro Research with data analysis, insight development and presentations. The Assistant Economist will source and update data on the macro- and socio-economic environment, such as economic performance and demographics, to produce economic analysis, reports, and presentations for use across JLL.
The Assistant Economist is a role for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can work independently using their own initiative.
What this job involves:
Source data on the macro- and socio-economic environment across major cities around the Globe, such as economic performance, demographics, monetary and fiscal policy, and financial markets.Use new data and data sources to better conduct economic analysis and create new insights.Update existing macroeconomic data using specialist software applications and original sources.Support the Chief Economist with data analysis and creating presentation materials.Produce economic analysis, reports, articles, and presentations for use across the JLL business.Respond to ad hoc requests from across the business for data, forecasts, and presentation content.Sound like you? Minimum bachelor’s degree in economics. Ideally a master’s degree in economics.Well-developed Economist skillset: research; analysis; data organisation; written and verbal presentation of arguments.Understanding of economic concepts and data, data sources and their limitations.Ability to use standard economic statistical analytical techniques.CuriosityExcellent attention to detail.Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)Ability to work independently with limited supervision and to use own initiative.Experience with Thomson Reuters’ Datastream, Macrobond, Bloomberg preferred but not essential.Real Estate experience is preferred; otherwise, a strong interest in the sector is required.Research at JLL:
