Research Analyst III
The Research Analyst III will support the Research Lead in developing, overseeing, and implementing a comprehensive Research Plan. This role requires expertise in data analysis, particularly using Qualtrics and Excel, to gather and interpret data, and to provide actionable insights. The individual will also be responsible for data visualization, creating presentations in PowerPoint, and supervising a junior analyst. Must have expertise in qualitative and quantitative research and analysis, including applying research and analytical skills to assist in the execution of various tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Supporting Research Plan Development:
+ Ensure the methodology reflects a systematic approach to conducting research.
+ Develop of study design, methodology, target audiences, and markets.
+ Develop list activities (steps) that will be taken to conduct research (what, when, how).
+ Draft frameworks for the research approach, mapping out clear, concise, logical steps to answer research questions or devise findings based on research objectives.
+ Help devise clear objectives and research priorities.
+ Collaborate with the Research Lead, customers, and other stakeholders to determine the most appropriate data sources for research and analysis, prioritizing diverse data sources to effectively identify valuable data/feedback to identify gaps and trends in current communication channels.
+ Outline data/information that will guide the team’s decisions along each step.
+ Data Collection and Analysis:
+ Utilize standard techniques for collecting and analyzing research data (qualitative and quantitative).
+ Administer surveys via Qualtrics to Medicare FFS providers and other stakeholders to collect data and insights.
+ Use Qualtrics and Excel to analyze survey data and other research findings.
+ Conduct thorough review of data sources, including client-provided research reports, websites, publications, and third-party sources.
+ Research Execution:
+ Oversee key research milestones, including the timeframe for data collection, summarization, and final report delivery.
+ Support the Research Lead in the day-to-day details of the execution of the relevant research projects
+ Conduct literature searches to identify relevant information on programs, reimbursement strategies, cost of delivery, and access and referral.
+ Perform environmental scans of relevant information sources, statutes, policies, and regulations to identify outdated content for revision.
+ Expand upon existing research findings by assisting the Research Lead with conducting focus groups, in-depth interviews, listening sessions, UX studies, and surveys.
+ Reporting and Communication:
+ Perform technical writing and prepare reports of research results.
+ Review both published and informal unpublished information to identify and validate best practices for research methodologies, particularly those related to communication strategies.
+ Create clear and compelling data visualizations to present research findings.
+ Develop PowerPoint presentations to effectively communicate research insights to stakeholders.
+ Prepare regular project status and progress reports for the Research Lead.
+ Best Practices:
+ Develop and implement best practices related to research methodology and data collection.
+ Incorporate formative research, including data analyses and focus groups, to inform education strategies.
+ Supervision:
+ Supervise a junior analyst, providing guidance and support in their research tasks.
+ Ensure the junior analyst adheres to the research plan and methodologies.
+ Mentor the junior analyst in developing their research and analytical skills.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
+ Research Methodology
+ Understanding of qualitative and quantitative research design principles, sampling techniques, and data collection methods.
+ Solid understanding of qualitative and quantitative research execution needs and requirements, with additional experience with custom research.
+ User Experience research experience a plus
+ Analysis:
+ Descriptive statistics, regression, factor analysis
+ Effective analysis of verbatim responses and qualitative data and text analytics, including sentiment
+ Higher level analyses including conjoint/discrete choice MAxDiff a plus for the higher level role
+ Research data management :
+ Familiarity with data cleaning, validation, and management practices.
+ Understanding of data privacy and ethical considerations in research.
+ Analytical Skills:
+ Ability to interpret and analyze qualitative and quantitative research findings to derive meaningful insights.
+ Strong problem-solving skills to address research challenges and biases.
+ Technical Skills:
+ Proficiency in Qualtrics survey platform
+ Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis, e.g. formulas, pivot ables, etc.)
+ Ability to create impactful data visualizations
+ Communication Skills:
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills for creating survey questions, reports, and presentations.
+ Attention to Detail:
+ Keen attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
+ Project Management:
+ Experience managing qualitative and quantitative research projects
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
+ Strong organizational skills to oversee the entire research process from design to reporting.
+ Collaboration:
+ Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment, coordinating with the internal team and external stakeholders
+ Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate communication and collaboration.
+ Adaptability:
+ Ability to adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies in survey research.
+ Flexibility to adjust research plans based on emerging data and insights.
+ Willingness and ability to adapt to changing client requests
+ Research project execution
+ Ensure quality control processes are in place
+ Maintain high standards of research quality, including accuracy, reliability and validity
EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
+ Minimum 8 years of experience, Bachelor's Degree in B usiness, Social Sciences, Marketing Research, or a quantitative field is preferred.
+ Proficiency in Qualtrics and Excel for data collection and analysis.
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Analytics (preferred).
