Research And Development Director
Job Description: We are seeking an accomplished Director of Research, Development & Innovation to drive the development and execution of cutting-edge research strategies and oversee the entire product development lifecycle. This key leadership role demands a strategic approach to aligning hygiene science with business objectives, alongside a deep expertise in chemistry and product development. A commitment to innovation and solving customer challenges will be critical to success in this role. Responsibilities: + Develop and implement a research and development strategy that aligns with organizational goals and market demands. + Lead the end-to-end development of new products, from concept through to commercialization, including formulations, dispensers, and packaging. + Ensure products meet regulatory, safety, and sustainability standards while fulfilling stakeholder and customer needs. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches and market success. + Drive the exploration and integration of innovative technologies, ingredients, and emerging industry trends. + Oversee the continuous improvement of product quality and ensure compliance with all relevant standards. + Manage departmental budgets, policies, and testing requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. + Supervise and guide research projects, providing direction and oversight to ensure timely and successful outcomes. + Analyze and assess product performance, incorporating customer feedback to optimize future offerings. Essential Skills: + Expertise in chemistry, research & development, and product formulation. + Strong experience in polymer chemistry, chromatography, and quality control processes. + Proven experience in leading R&D initiatives for topical products, such as cosmetics, OTC soaps, sanitizers, lotions, and creams. + Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and functionality testing procedures. Additional Qualifications: + Bachelors or Master's in Chemistry or Biological sciences (preferred) + 8+ years of experience in R&D related to products for topical application. + 5+ years of leadership experience in consumer or industrial goods industries. + B2B experience preferred; B2C experience also considered. + Passion for public health and advancing well-being through innovation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
