Summary: This position is responsible for assisting Food Technologists Food Scientists and Chefs with product development projects by following written and oral direction ensuring correct and accurate sample preparation and shipping and operating laboratory and pilot plant equipment properly and safely. Other responsibilities include weighing and measuring with accuracy recording data and other duties that may arise. Responsibilities: Professionally represent Tyson Discovery Center as a leader in food innovation and gold standard service in assisting in the coordination and organization of Tyson sponsored food events as defined by the Senior Leadership Team. Provide support to enable world class food experiences for special projects assigned by Senior Leadership Team. Assist with the standardization of Customer Experience processes for key internal and external customers between both campuses R&D North and South in driving retail and foodservice product presentations. Provide support in managing the customer expectation process provide analysis insight and recommendations and present data to leadership.
Requirements:
Education: Requires a minimum of High School Degree. Bachelor s degree preferred.
Experience: 3 years’ work experience in Research and Product Development preferred.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Spreadsheet setup for data email scheduling and weight and measurement conversions.
Special Skills: Must have basic math skills. Great teamwork skills.

Supervisory: This position will not have any direct reports.
Travel: Minimal travel
Must reside in the United States, no sponsorship eligible for role.
Physical Requirements may include Standing 90; Sitting 10 Lifting - 20 to 70 pounds - this is done multiple times throughout the day every day. Pushing - 20 to 100 pounds- this is done multiple times throughout the day every day. This consists of moving supplies and products around the plant and kitchens on carts. Pulling - 20 to 100 pounds - this is done multiple times throughout the day every day. This consists of moving supplies and products around the plant and kitchens on carts. Walking - It is approximately 100 yards from our kitchen to the pilot plant. Our techs may walk this 5 to 10 times a day. They are on the move all the time. Stairs 5-10 times per day a flight of 7 steps; Stairs 1-5 times per day a flight of 21 steps.
