Posting Number NONAC3518 Job Title Research Assistant Position Title Research Assistant Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Family Medicine Position Summary AUCC Student Health and Wellness CenterPosition Summary The Research Assistant will provide support in the planning, coordination, and execution of research projects. The individual will work closely with the Principal Investigator, Project Manager and other team members. The individual will collect and manage data and assist in preparing research reports. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited college or university.


Experience: Minimum of two (2) years as a Research Assistant or in a related research capacity. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and statistical software (SPSS, R, etc.) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with research methods, including data collection and management. Preferred Qualifications Education: Master’s degree preferred from a regionally accredited college or university.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty Data Collection & Management: Assist in collecting and recording research data from focus groups and surveys. Enter data into research databases and ensure data quality and integrity. Communicate with study participants and collaborate with other members of the research team Assist in recruiting research participants, train peer educators/navigators on intervention and assist in recruiting research participants. Maintaining accurate records of research processes and results. Supporting the team in administrative tasks related to research activities. Performs related responsibilities as required.


Research Preparation: Conduct literature reviews to support research activities. Assist in preparing focus groups, surveys distribution and intervention training.
Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with other researchers, clinicians, and research personnel to coordinate efforts and troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth project operations. Communicate research findings in regular meetings or reports. Assist in the preparation of research publications, presentations, and reports.
Administrative Duties: Provide general administrative support to the research team, including scheduling appointments, ordering supplies, and maintaining project databases. Distribute surveys, maintain documentation and records, and track project timelines. Handle correspondence related to the research project.

Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
