Research Assistant - Computational Biology and Artificial Intelligence

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant in Computational Biology and Artificial Intelligence to support our dynamic and interdisciplinary lab, dedicated to advancing our understanding of cellular systems through computational approaches. The successful candidate will focus on developing novel ML/AI tools for single-cell and multi-omics analyses to uncover cellular heterogeneity, gene regulatory networks, and epigenetic mechanisms in complex biological systems.

This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with experimental biologists and physicians, contribute to cutting-edge research, and develop novel computational methods that impact fields such as immunology, oncology, and precision medicine.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform integrative analyses across diverse datasets to derive novel biological insights. Develop and maintain computational pipelines for biological data analysis Help with results collection and research manuscript preparation

Education and/or Experience:

Requirements – Candidates must meet the following criteria:

B.Sc. in quantitative disciplines, including but not limited to computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, systems biology, or a related field. Solid understanding of statistical and computational methods Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, and familiarity with relevant bioinformatics tools.

Other Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: – Preference will be given to candidates with:

Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their application in biological data analysis. Familiarity with Deep Learning architectures and applications Enthusiasm for solving complex biological problems through computational approaches.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation:

The expected hiring range for this position is $42,000 - $50,000/year commensurate with relevant experience.
