Position Availability: Position Title: Research Assistant for Black Mountain College Project Requisition Number: 0406073474 Location New York City Position Type: Student Department: Provost/Provost's Office Responsibilities: Dr. Jennifer Schlueter, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, seeks a detail-oriented, dedicated, and reliable research assistant to provide research support for an ongoing project from September through November 2024. This project engages with the history of Black Mountain College, with a particular focus on explanations for the erasure of a key founding figure from its story. Work will center on tracking down traces of this figure in to-be-determined archives, as well as the creation of a comprehensive bibliography of relevant material.
The position will be hybrid, with periodic meetings with Dr. Schlueter and most research tasks occurring remotely. The scope of work is a maximum of 60 hours total.
