Summary of Job Duties:The Arkansas Rural Community Health Study seeks a part-time (50% FTE) Research Assistant (RA) for a one-year project focused on environmental exposure and early-onset breast cancer. This RA will support the Investigator team by managing regulatory documents, coordinating study activities, and assisting with data collection and quality control. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, they will work closely with multiple research entities, including the Translational Research Institute and Clinical Trials Office. Responsibilities include liaising with recruitment sites, coordinating community recruitment events, maintaining accurate records, and regularly updating the study team on progress. This role is vital for ensuring integrity and successful dissemination of the study results.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of research experience requried.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Ability to work in a team and independently.

Must be highly motivated, and creative, have critical thinking skills, be resourceful, responsible, collaborative, and have problem-solving skills.  


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

Works under the supervision of the Principal Investigator to prepare recruitment packages, and recruit participants to study.

Implements strategies to retain study participants, and collects and manages data.

Keeps an adequate track record of participants.

Participates in regular project meetings, and training.

Provides updates on progress, and communicates regularly with the study team on recruitment and data collection progress.

Works with the study team to develop and implement secure systems for assuring the quality, confidentiality, and safety of the data and works with the data manager to maintain appropriate study logs, records, and databases.

Works with the study team to problem-solve issues, develop appropriate solutions, and assist the study team when needed.

Works with the Investigator Team to develop regular reports of study progress and preliminary data.

Performs other duties as assigned.


Salary Information:

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
