Posting Number NONAC3375 Job Title Research Assistant II Position Title Research Assistant II Position Type Non-Faculty Number of vacancies 1 Salary Commensurate with experience Department Comm Hlth/Prev Med-Ch/Pm Position Summary The Research Assistant II (RAII) will provide professional level support related to research and evaluation of projects at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Prevention Research Center. The RAII supports and conducts scientific research and evaluation through the collection, analysis, and reporting of data. Duties will include but not be limited to theoretical and applied research, human subject compliance, research and evaluation support in a multidisciplinary team for the National African American Child and Family Research Center. Minimum Qualifications Education: Possess a master’s degree or pursuing a doctoral in public health or related health or social sciences field
Experience: Experience conducting quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method data analyses. Experience or strong interest in community-based research and evaluation. Proficient using data collection and analytical statistical software and tools (e.g., SPSS and Qualtrics). Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) Preferred Qualifications Experience: Three years of progressive experience in community-based research.

Job Duties Description of Job Duty Coordinates and participates in a variety of duties to assist investigators in data collection, verification, and compilation of research information related to various fields of research which may include social, behavioral and/or community-based research as requested. Implements research procedures and protocols for research activities utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods, under general supervision. Provides input and recommends alternative approaches to research protocol and research dissemination. Analyzes and interprets the results of studies with direct supervision and guidance. Assists with the preparation of Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications and submits it to the board for review and approval. Planning and scheduling research activities such as field data collection. Coordinates and manages research project implementation including meeting facilitation, scheduling research activities, and maintaining communication with partners. Reviews literature for related research development, techniques and dissemination efforts. Prepares written materials, charts and graphs on specialized techniques and research results for publication, dissemination or presentation. Utilizes data outcomes to develop segmented and aggregate data summaries to illustrate trends and project successes. Utilizes secondary data analysis for research results. Uses computer programming skills for quantitative and qualitative research including SPSS, NVIVO, SAS, R, Qualtrics, ArcGIS and other applications, among others assigned. May be responsible for demonstrating and training others in data collection techniques (i.e. qualitative interviewing, focus group moderation), research design, and data management protocols. Maintain and update databases and other information repositories. Immunization Immunization Requirements It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption.
