University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Medicine: Medicine: Nephrology **Salary Range or Pay Grade** $66,700 - $82,364 **Description** The Department of Medicine, Nephrology Division is seeking a Research Assistant Professor that is highly motivated early-career stage investigator in the field hypertension and kidney disease. The Research Assistant Professor is expected 1) to lead innovative research projects to discover vascular and immune mechanisms mediating hypertension and chronic kidney disease; 2) to develop and implement standards of operations in laboratory mouse husbandry and advanced animal models of hypertension and kidney disease; 3) to establish protocols for key molecular biology including genotype, realtime PCT, western blot, RNAscope, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, etc; 4) to perform multi-Omics to identify novel pathways and targets in cardiovascular and kidney disease; 5) to pursue faculty-level grants including career development awards from federal and foundational funding agencies. **Qualifications** Ph.D. Degree or equivalent Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required Compliance with University and New York State health requirements **Application Instructions** **If you already have an Interfolio account, please sign in to apply to this position.
