The Department of Bioengineering is seeking a Part-Time Research Assistant Professor (Appointment Stream) for the spring 2025 academic term. Responsibilities will include primarily research activities. Additionally, responsibilities may include supervision of graduate and undergraduate students. Responsibilities may also include instruction of students within the Department of Bioengineering or the broader Swanson School of Engineering. Additionally, the applicant is expected to continue to seek institutional as well as extramural funding for research in the area of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine in collaboration with the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine and its faculty.

Specific tasks include:

· Benchtop and animal research

· Drafting, editing, and submitting first author and co-authored peer-reviewed publications of research data

· Making presentations of research data at national/international meetings

· Writing of grant proposals

· Supervision of graduate and undergraduate students in the research laboratory

· Instructing graduate and/or undergraduate level courses as needed or as interested

The qualified applicant must possess a PhD in a related field of study with prior research, teaching, and practical experience in field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
