RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Overview: 

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), the Clinical Research Assistant (CRA) will coordinate and oversee all activities of multiple Pediatric Oncology clinical research trials. This position will also involve the coordination of a consortium research program, under the direction of the PI. As the study coordinator, responsibilities include oversight of a multi-institutional study; data entry; specimen collection, processing, and shipment; preparation of IRB applications and all other required regulatory documents; subject recruitment, retention, and follow-up; and other research related activities as directed by the PI. Participation in weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings is required.   

 

Requirements:

Clinical research experience as well as experience working in a hospital setting and experience with persons with medical illnesses preferred. Computer and data entry knowledge required, including Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.  Excellent communication and coordinating skills are necessary. Ability to work independently.  Experience with Pediatric patients preferred.
